Yeah, I saw the "spectacular" Robbie Knievel jump and was underwhelmed as well, plus he seemed like a real goober. I was a HUGE fan of his father and I also re-created his jumps on bicycles and later on my Suzuki 75. We got really creative, starting with the jumping over each other and then later graduating to jumping over home-made fire pits, etc. Very safe stuff and I'm sure my parents would have approved had they known... For an actual New Year's jump that WAS spectacular, check out Robbie Madison in Paris.
