I did some more messing around with my computer today and as unlikely as it may sound I don’t think the problem is the hard drive. I think my PC messing up and my data appearing to be lost (when viewed through Angel’s computer) may be two unrelated things. I put an empty, formatted hard drive in my PC today and still couldn’t get Windows to install.

I really think it’s the motherboard. That would be awesome if that were the case because it’s still under warranty for another two months or so.

I commented in the post below about sending your hard drive to a data recovery specialist. You may not have the money now, but someday when you have some extra fundage laying around you may want to give it a shot. So don’t toss that hard drive. Also when the time comes, I can probably get you a pretty darn good deal on a ProTools LE system. I’m not sure if that’s what you were using or not, but it’s pretty nice. Basically a watered down version of the high end ProTools systems. Still tons of great features though.
